A leading engineering staffing company is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide maintenance for a large commercial campus in Oxford. The ideal candidate will have NVQ qualifications in Plumbing and Heating, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage maintenance records. This role offers a salary between £42,000 - £44,000 per annum and involves working Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • G3 Unvented certification is desired.
  • Strong communication and client-facing abilities are essential.

Overview

Position - Mechanical Engineer

Location - Oxford, Oxfordshire

Salary - £42,000 - £44,000 per annum

Working Hours - Monday-Friday - 8:00am-5:00pm

Reporting Into - Engineering Manager

TecRec are currently searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to work on a large commercial campus in Oxford.

Our client was formed over 30 years ago and has now developed into a thriving independent building services engineering provider with an outstanding reputation in the market.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established maintenance provider who invest both time and training into their employees.

Responsibilities
  • Provide planned & reactive maintenance for a large commercial campus consisting of 11 buildings.
  • Carrying out and passing an enhanced DBS check due to the nature of some buildings.
  • Manage logbooks and ensure accurate records of work carried out.
  • Operate in a client-facing role and maintain good communication with stakeholders.
  • Utilise the electric pool van on site for work-related use and personal use (where allowed by policy).
  • Diagnose breakdowns, carry out timely repairs, and ensure effective fault finding.
  • Document all work and raise required documentation such as quotes as needed.
  • Maintain a broad knowledge of building services to support on-site activities.
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Plumbing & Heating, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • G3 Unvented – Desired
  • Mechanical AP – Desired
  • Mechanical Pressure Systems – Desired
  • Strong presentation, communication skills, and client-facing abilities.
Additional Information
  • Location - Oxford, Oxfordshire
  • There is a requirement to carry out an enhanced DBS check.
  • No call-out duty as this is covered by the mobile team.
  • 11 commercial buildings on the Campus.
