The Role

The mechanical engineer will take complete responsibility for repairing gearboxes along with some electrical motors, pumps and any specific workshop tasks as required by the Branch Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertakes repair of gearboxes, electric motors and pumps.
• Ensures deadlines are met to meet customer expectations.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as and when needed.
• Adheres to Health and Safety protocol.
• Completes workshop documentation and passes to Workshop Manager.
• Completes daily timesheets.
• Keeps a clean and tidy work area.
• Is available for call out shifts or overtime as directed by the Workshop Manager.
• Performs any other duties within capabilities as directed by the Workshop Supervisor or Manager.

Skills And Qualifications

• Proven experience within gearboxes, electrical motors and pumps.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and PPE.
• Team player.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work outside of normal working hours.
• Good time-keeping skills are essential.
