A leading engineering firm in Nottingham is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their M&E department. The role includes responsibilities such as managing individual projects, preparing designs and technical reports, and liaising with clients. Candidates should possess a degree or HNC/D, with at least 5 years of design experience in consultancy or contracting. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, IES, or Hevacomp is essential.

Qualifications

Our M&E department are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the team in Nottingham.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for individual projects
  • Preparing outline and detailed designs for tender (specification and drawings)
  • Preparing technical reports
  • Undertaking surveys and detailed calculations
  • Direct liaison with clients and contractors
  • Attend project and design team meetings (office and site).
  • Provide management of and/or technical support to Senior members of staff in the day to day running of the office
  • Undertake continues professional development
  • Comply with the Firm’s Policies, Procedures and Quality Management Systems.
Required Qualifications
  • HNC/D or degree in relevant field. (Degree is preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years’ post graduate design experience in consultancy or contracting.
  • Understanding of current building regulations
  • Understanding of the construction industry design and procurement process
  • Understanding of CIBSE guides
  • Experience using; AutoCAD, Revit, IES and Hevacomp (or equivalent)
