A leading engineering firm in the UK is looking for graduates to join their Mechanical Engineering Graduate Development Programme. This program offers significant opportunities for personal and technical development while working on various projects across the UK. Graduates will gain key skills in project management and engineering, tackling tasks from site operations to commercial management. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields and a full UK driving license.
CMDP is a joint venture between Costain and MWH Treatment that has secured a new AMP8 Capital Programme. The Strategic Delivery Partner Framework Agreement with Southern Water covers Water supply and wastewater treatment work in the eastern half of its region (Kent & Sussex). Between 2025‑2030 CMDP+ will deliver critical investment to Water and Wastewater infrastructure across the region, including upgrades to Water and Wastewater Treatment Works, Pumping Stations and Reservoirs.
Purpose of the role: To develop the skills required to allow you to become responsible for key elements of work on a project, taking a significant role in mechanical engineering and technical delivery as well as managing aspects of time, cost and quality. You will acquire technical, leadership and project management skills and experience through the Graduate Development Programme.
The Graduate Development Programme will focus on helping you grow your personal and leadership skills, alongside business knowledge and the technical skills you will learn day‑to‑day on the job. The programme is delivered in a variety of formats throughout the 2 years and allows you to establish a network of contacts that will help and support you through your first 2 years and beyond. We expect some of our graduates to rotate after a period of 8‑12 months to another project/sector of the business to fully understand the depth and breadth of the services offered by the company. Graduates may have the opportunity to work on a number of exciting and progressive projects around the UK during the 2‑year period, in sectors including nuclear, highways, rail, water, airports and tunnels.
