An established engineering company is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a temporary role covering Derby and Leicestershire. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fault finding, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems, working primarily Monday to Friday without call outs or weekends. Candidates should have NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering and relevant experience in maintenance roles. Competitive pay rate offered.

Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team of an established company on a temporary basis, covering the Derby and Leicestershire area. This is a great opportunity to build more skills within FM, and offering consistent work with weekends off and no call outs!

Role

Mechanical Engineer

Pay Rate: £(Apply online only)

Location: Derby and Leicester (mobile)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Equipment: Own van and tools required

Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and repair of various mechanical systems
  • Working with pumps, motors, HVAC, pneumatics, and fluid systems
  • Providing maintenance on plumbing and associated mechanical systems
  • Carrying out risk assessments and ensuring safety standards are met
  • Performing scheduled and ad-hoc maintenance tasks across the site
  • Assisting in the improvement of site equipment and systems
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • G3 unvented
  • Experience working with pumps, motors, HVAC, pneumatics, plumbing, and fluids
  • Previous experience in a mechanical engineering or maintenance role
