Job Overview

As part of the highly skilled Asset Support Team, the Mechanical Engineer will work under the direction of the Converting Asset Leader to provide both proactive and reactive maintenance support within their area discipline. This will be a hands‑on role in both planned maintenance and troubleshooting scenarios. In this role, you will be installing, maintaining and repairing mechanical components of machines and assets in our mill facility, in accordance with our reliability strategy and site safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, track, measure and analyse site reliability metrics driving appropriate action plans.
  • Support all site condition monitoring activities.
  • Communicate closely with immediate team and Asset Leader to share condition of own area of responsibility.
  • Take decisive action when in “red condition” versus standard.
  • Conduct all necessary process health checks and essential care rounds.
  • Identify appropriate solutions to failure and apply analysis techniques such as Asset Criticality, FMEA/RCM, Fall, Event, and Weibull analysis.
  • Implement and improve maintenance practices in a facility that creates top‑notch products.
