Mechanical Engineer – Gatwick

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Gatwick. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both repair and maintenance, working closely with colleagues to ensure all trailers meet our high‑quality standards. You should be confident working independently, making sound decisions, and supporting company policies, regulatory requirements, and new product developments.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect, service, and repair trailers to a high standard, ensuring full compliance with all company EHS policies, guidelines, procedures, and mandatory legislation.
  • Complete all compliance documentation accurately and on time.
  • Operate and drive company vehicles safely, following road traffic laws and company policies.
  • Undertake all required training as assigned.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and consistently demonstrate company values.
  • Identify and report potential commercial opportunities to your line manager.
  • Optional overtime available.
  • Additional duties may be required in line with business needs or management direction.
Qualifications
  • Time‑served technician or equivalent technical qualifications/experience.
  • Welding experience.
  • Strong communication skills and a high level of enthusiasm.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to complete necessary documentation.
  • Professional, customer‑focused, and team‑oriented mindset.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
