Job description

We are recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support key deliverable across our Decommissioning project portfolio, key responsibilities will be:

Responsibilities
  • Mechanical engineering-based work in the definition, implementation and execution of engineering work packages to support innovative solutions for clients.
  • Delivery of quality mechanical based engineering deliverables, with clear underpinning of decision process with respect to preferred solutions.
  • Share learning and best practice across the engineering function, incorporating learning from wider parent organisation activities and capture lessons learned to support innovation.
  • Conducting, assessing, and reviewing engineering studies to determine an optimum solution for the client.
  • Ensuring that governance and assurance is applied, and that consideration of conventional and nuclear safety has been given.
  • Collaborate with team members and other subject matter experts to ensure high quality results.
Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g. HNC/HND with significant experience) in engineering discipline.
  • Attained/ or working towards chartered or incorporated status with a recognised professional body (e.g. IMechE).
  • Experience of highly regulated environments would be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of CDM, SoMSR, PUWER & LOLER.
