A leading engineering agency in London is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support design efforts on a contract basis. The ideal candidate should have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, proven mechanical design experience, and a working knowledge of Revit (2D & 3D). Responsibilities include contributing to the design of components, reviewing Revit models, and collaborating with multiple teams. This role offers a competitive rate of £450-£500 per day.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to support a busy engineering team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for someone with strong mechanical design experience and a working understanding of Revit (2D & 3D) to support coordination and interface with other disciplines.

Role Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and development of mechanical components, systems, and assemblies.
  • Review and interpret Revit (2D & 3D) models and drawings for coordination purposes.
  • Interface with BIM teams and understand Revit workflows.
  • Support design reviews, prototyping, testing, and design validation activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, R&D, and quality.
  • Assist with technical problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Proven mechanical design experience.
  • Working knowledge of Revit (2D & 3D) to understand model/drawing intent and coordinate design activities (not for production).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
