Job summary

Facilitate Search Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Mechanical Craftsperson to join our team in a specialist environment focused on water hygiene and Legionella prevention.

You will carry out regular water monitoring, TMV and AHU servicing, and planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across varied systems, with an on-call rota.

A full UK driving licence is essential, DBS check required, and overtime is available.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking regular water temperature monitoring.
• Shower head cleaning and disinfection.
• Visual inspections of water storage tanks.
• TMV servicing and maintenance.
• AHU servicing.
• Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Supporting water hygiene and Legionella prevention activities.
• Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with relevant procedures and standards.
• Completing relevant documentation and maintenance records.
• Responding to call-outs as part of the on-call rota.

Mechanical Craftsperson

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Overtime: Available

Call-out: Approximately 1 in 9/10

Driving Licence: Essential

DBS: Standard DBS check required

The Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Craftsperson to join our team in Birmingham, working within a specialist environment focused on mechanical services and the control and prevention of Legionella and other waterborne pathogens.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical, plumbing, heating or ventilation background who is looking to develop their experience within a specialist and varied role.

• Undertaking regular water temperature monitoring

About You

We are looking for candidates who have a relevant Level 2 qualification in Plumbing, Ventilation or Heating. A Level 3 qualification would be highly desirable.

You should ideally have practical mechanical maintenance experience and be comfortable working across a range of systems and environments.

A full UK driving licence is essential for this position.

Due to the nature of the role, a Standard DBS check is required, and successful candidates must be able to pass this check.
