Thames Water is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our Riverside wastewater site on a full-time basis. You will inspect, maintain, fault-diagnose, test, install, modify and repair plant and related equipment, working safely and with minimal supervision to keep operations running.
Applicants should have an electrical apprenticeship or NVQ/C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering, with mechanical upskilling, and a valid driving licence.
Reporting to Pertemps Thames Water’s wastewater division, the Mechanical & Electrical Technician will work full time at the Riverside sewage treatment works. Employing mechanical and electrical expertise, the postholder inspects, maintains, fault-diagnoses, tests, installs, modifies and repairs plant plus associated equipment, working safely, efficiently and with minimal supervision to keep sites operational for customers. The successful candidate actively helps reduce pollution, supporting Thames Water’s environmental impact goals. A competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum is offered, dependent on skills and experience. Applicants should demonstrate relevant technical knowledge and a proven track record in a comparable maintenance setting.
