A leading water services company is seeking a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to ensure operational efficiency at their Chertsey location. The role involves scheduled maintenance and repair of mechanical plant and electrical equipment, contributing to reducing environmental impact. We are currently recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team in our Clean Water Division to be based out of our Chertsey STW.
As a successful candidate, you will use your mechanical and electrical knowledge together with experience to inspect, maintain, fault‑diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, timely and effective manner with minimum supervision, allowing us to ensure that all of our sites remain operational for the benefit of our customers.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference to Thames Water’s environmental impact, and you will be actively helping to reduce pollution from our sites.
Chertsey STW – KT16 0AR
38 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am‑3:36 pm plus a standby rota. All PPE and tools are provided.
You must have previous experience in an electrical apprenticeship, ONC/HNC in engineering, NVQ, or C&G level 3 in Electrical engineering, with an up‑skill in mechanical NVQ2/3 considered crucial.
