Job Description:

Overview

An international leader in the Net Zero Energy sector is seeking a Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a long-term energy contract at a prominent East London estate. The site supplies heat, cooling, and electricity to local consumers.

You will be responsible for maintaining district heating generation and distribution equipment, including large boilers, CHP, and chiller plants.

Accountabilities/Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned maintenance as per contractual obligations.
  • Carry out repairs, reactive maintenance, and minor installations on plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults, ensuring customer care in this environment.
  • Monitor plant proactively to ensure efficient operation.
  • Complete necessary documentation accurately.
  • Perform other duties as required, potentially outside normal hours.
  • Must hold a full driving license (essential).
  • Minimum formal qualifications: City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
  • Experience with large-scale heating, cooling, and electrical systems from both mechanical and electrical perspectives.
  • IT monitoring systems experience is desirable.
