Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is looking for a Mechanical / Electrical Fitter to join a clean, workshop-based environment in Aylesbury. You will refurbish, repair and calibrate specialist lifting equipment, working both mechanically and electrically with in-house training provided.

The role operates Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm (37 hours) in a national equipment hire company that values internal progression and hands-on expertise.

Qualifications

• Hands-on fitter/engineer with mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Wiring or fault finding experience advantageous.
• Willing to work in a dedicated workshop environment.

Are you a Fitter/Engineer with mechanical and electrical knowledge, looking for a permanent, long-term, static role in a clean workshop, fitting top-of-the-range specialist machinery and equipment for a nationally renowned company?

In this workshop-based role you will be testing and calibrating brand-new equipment that comes into the workshop, whilst also performing fault finding and diagnostics on older equipment too. Working in a small team, you will be given plenty of ongoing training to become an expert in the field.

This role would suit a Fitter or Engineer who has worked hands-on electrically, perhaps doing wiring or fault finding, looking for a static role working on niche equipment within a large national company that will look after them.
