Asan Estates Technician, youll have a mechanical or electrical background andwill carry out your work with minimal supervision. This will include,maintenance, fault finding, repairs and installation work on all facilities,plant and equipment onsite, and youwill also act as the Trust representative in the absence of theEstates Officer or when requested to do so as and when the need arises byline management.
Workingon the full range of Estates Services equipment, you will undertake activities which require analysis of datato resolve technical issues on multifaceted equipment or situations, many ofwhich have a direct impact on patient safety and the built environment.
Youllbe responsible for calibration and fault finding on a wide range ofengineering plant and equipment including various voltage systems, steamraising plant and associated equipment, steam sterilizers, medical gassystems, nurse call systems, lighting, fire detection, building servicescontrols, standby generator plant, heating and ventilation control systemsand refrigeration plant.
Undertakecondition surveys, evaluating inspection reports and maintenance repairs,improvement and capital work across the Trust as directed by management,ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
Planand organise major interruptions, maintenance activities and co-ordinateswork of others. Provides practical training to others and evaluates work.

Applicantsmust have served an Electrical apprenticeship and have achieved HND ordemonstrable equivalent experience. Previous experience in a hospitalmaintenance environment is desirable.
Tobe successful, you will need to have good communication skills, as youll beworking with a wide range of colleagues across the Trust and be expected tocarry out all duties in an efficient and effective manner.
