Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Heathrow Area
Key Responsibilities
- Track, monitor and manage the progress of your own work and report accordingly on the computerised maintenance system.
- Work under Permit to Work System when necessary.
- Work on Preventative Planned Maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve engineering issues.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and equipment.
- Install, repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all breakdowns are addressed in a timely manner.
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure continuous and efficient operation of equipment.
- Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records of repairs and replacements.
- Provide emergency Call Out duty on a rostered basis.
- Perform overtime and occasional work away from home on site as required.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial/warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems; proficiency with hydraulic and mechanical equipment is a distinct advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to read and work with electrical drawings.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.
- Understanding of PLC & Drive Systems (distinct advantage).
- Preferably industrial background.
- Full clean UK driving licence.
- Clean DBS and able to work independently.
- Ability to provide relevant documentation to obtain an airside pass (5 years reference history, no gaps).
- Experience with 18th Edition (desired).

Job Details
- Job Type: Full‑time.
- Pay: £40,000.00‑£45,000.00 per year.
- Work Location: In person (Heathrow Area).
- Schedule: Monday to Friday – 4‑day week, 10 hour days, with overtime as required.
- Travel: Must be able to reliably commute to Slough or relocate before starting work.
- Work authorisation: United Kingdom.
