Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Heathrow Area

Key Responsibilities
  • Track, monitor and manage the progress of your own work and report accordingly on the computerised maintenance system.
  • Work under Permit to Work System when necessary.
  • Work on Preventative Planned Maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve engineering issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Install, repair and maintain electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure all breakdowns are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure continuous and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records of repairs and replacements.
  • Provide emergency Call Out duty on a rostered basis.
  • Perform overtime and occasional work away from home on site as required.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial/warehouse setting.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical systems; proficiency with hydraulic and mechanical equipment is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to read and work with electrical drawings.
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Understanding of PLC & Drive Systems (distinct advantage).
  • Preferably industrial background.
  • Full clean UK driving licence.
  • Clean DBS and able to work independently.
  • Ability to provide relevant documentation to obtain an airside pass (5 years reference history, no gaps).
  • Experience with 18th Edition (desired).

Job Details
  • Job Type: Full‑time.
  • Pay: £40,000.00‑£45,000.00 per year.
  • Work Location: In person (Heathrow Area).
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday – 4‑day week, 10 hour days, with overtime as required.
  • Travel: Must be able to reliably commute to Slough or relocate before starting work.
  • Work authorisation: United Kingdom.
