Job summary

Assystem in Warrington seeks a Senior Mechanical Designer to deliver mechanical work scope, produce detail drawings using Inventor and AutoCAD, and report to a Senior/Principal Engineer. You will create GA’s, manufacturing details, and layout drawings for cell and glovebox equipment in a highly regulated nuclear environment.

The role requires experience with Inventor Vault, design for assembly, and the ability to manage own workload while communicating effectively with the team and client.

Qualifications

• Experience in a highly regulated industry, preferably within the nuclear industry.
• Experience designing Alpha Gloveboxes and the operating philosophies for safe manual glovebox processes.
• Experience in designing and laying out glovebox equipment; design for assembly in a nuclear facility.

Responsibilities

• Deliver mechanical work scope, production and checking, reporting to a Senior/Principal Engineer.
• Produce detail drawings using Inventor / AutoCAD, including GA’s, manufacturing details, and layout drawings.
• Create flow diagrams and parts lists; utilise Inventor Vault and ensure design quality.
