Job summary

ReeVR in Windsor, United Kingdom, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2+ years' industry experience to work on high-performance electro-mechanical components in a specialist environment.

You will translate customer requirements and CAD models into practical, manufacturable solutions, collaborating with Engineering, Production, Quality and Commercial teams to resolve challenges and deliver designs efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2 years' industry experience in mechanical design or engineering.
• Degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent practical engineering qualification.
• Confidence using 3D CAD software and interpreting 2D drawings.
• Good understanding of design for manufacture and practical manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing manufacturing drawings and engineering documentation.
• Ability to translate technical specifications into workable engineering solutions.
• Hands-on, problem-solving approach and ability to work with manufacturing teams.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation and communication.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review customer CAD models, technical drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models, 2D manufacturing drawings, BOMs and supporting documentation.
• Support design for manufacture activities, ensuring designs are practical and suitable for production.
• Develop tooling, jigs, fixtures and manufacturing aids to support assembly and repeatable production.
• Support customer enquiries and quotations through technical reviews, manufacturing assessments and risk identification.
• Work closely with Production to resolve drawing queries, manufacturing challenges and assembly issues.
• Collaborate with Quality and Inspection teams to support inspection requirements and corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate engineering records and documentation within MRp/ERP systems.
• Contribute to design improvements, engineering standards and process development.
• Work with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
