Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in piping systems, pump hydraulics, water industry process equipment or mechanical assemblies? Are you looking for a technical delivery role where you'll be producing high-quality mechanical design outputs under the guidance of an experienced Design Manager?
We are recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to support a major UK water-sector infrastructure programme based in Birmingham. This position is purely mechanical focusing on pumping systems, hydraulic design, pipework layouts, mechanical bracketry, skids, fabrications, and equipment integration.
This is a 12-month contract, with strong potential to extend. The role suits someone who is hands‑on with mechanical design documentation, who can produce accurate drawings, calculations and engineering deliverables in a highly technical environment.
