Job Overview

Owing to continued success, a world leading designer and manufacturer of precision instrumentation is now looking for a further Mechanical Design Engineer to join their design team.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Mechanical Engineering Team Leader and be responsible for the mechanical design and documentation of new products, while maintaining and carrying out design changes to existing products.
• Work across all aspects of the product life cycle, playing a key part in design and development from initial concept through to finished project.
• Identify and propose product improvements to improve performance, reliability and cost.
• Prepare documentation to support product descriptions and manufacturing.

Experience

You must have a minimum of 3 years industrial experience in a similar role designing and leading mechanical design projects.

It is essential that candidates have worked with precision mechanical designs to high tolerances in 3D.

Qualifications

Qualifications in mechanical engineering or similar are essential.

Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the UK.
