Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• 3D design of components used within industrial equipment.
• Guide design draughtsmen in the department, and sign off engineering drawings as checked work.
• Work to KPIs and objectives set by the Design Lead.
• Creating engineering drawings using AutoCAD for the manufacturing team.

Requirements / Qualifications

• 3D CAD experience; Inventor experience is useful but other CAD packages are acceptable.
• Formal engineering qualification and a methodical character.
• Experience with electromechanical products (e.g., machinery, plant equipment, motors) is advantageous.
• Knowledge or experience of hazardous area components or conduit wiring would be an advantage, but not essential.

Role Details

Industry: Global engineering business manufacturing large electro mechanical equipment.

Salary & Benefits: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum base. Holidays take as hours that rise with service – equivalent to 25 days + bank holidays. Up to 7% employer pension. Life assurance. Wider discounts and potential cash awards based on achievements.
