Overview

Energy Jobline is the largest and fastest growing global Energy Job Board and Energy Hub. We have an audience reach of over 7 million energy professionals, 400,000+ monthly advertised global energy and engineering jobs, and work with the leading energy companies worldwide.

We focus on the Oil & Gas, Renewables, Engineering, Power, and Nuclear markets as well as emerging technologies in EV, Battery, and Fusion. We are committed to ensuring that we offer the most exciting career opportunities from around the world for our jobseekers.

Socode are proud to be representing a key client who are investing heavily in new product innovation — developing complex, high-precision systems used in cutting-edge applications around the world.

What you will be doing

You’ll join a small but highly capable mechanical design team, taking ownership of designs from concept through to production. You’ll be hands-on with SolidWorks, developing precision components and assemblies, building prototypes, and helping to turn creative ideas into robust, manufacturable solutions. Working closely with electronics, software, and production engineers, you’ll have real variety in your day-to-day work — one day modelling intricate mechanisms, the next designing jigs or test fixtures, or resolving a challenge in the lab.

Key responsibilities
  • Create and develop detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Design, prototype, and test mechanical assemblies for new products and tooling.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to ensure seamless product integration.
  • Analyse test results and data to improve mechanical performance and reliability.
  • Support production with practical design improvements and problem-solving.
  • Maintain accurate engineering and manufacturing documentation within PDM systems.
We’re looking for
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with around 2+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong SolidWorks capability and an eye for detail in design and documentation.
  • A solid grasp of mechanical fundamentals – materials, tolerancing, and design for manufacture.
  • A practical, hands-on approach and a genuine enthusiasm for building and testing your own designs.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary R&D environment.
  • Clear communicator, curious problem-solver, and passionate about good engineering.
