A key client in the energy sector is seeking a Mechanical Designer to join their innovative team in Cambridge. The role involves designing and prototyping mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks, collaborating with a multidisciplinary R&D team, and improving product reliability. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of industry experience. This position offers a hands-on environment for creative engineering problem solvers.

You’ll join a small but highly capable mechanical design team, taking ownership of designs from concept through to production. You’ll be hands-on with SolidWorks, developing precision components and assemblies, building prototypes, and helping to turn creative ideas into robust, manufacturable solutions. Working closely with electronics, software, and production engineers, you’ll have real variety in your day-to-day work — one day modelling intricate mechanisms, the next designing jigs or test fixtures, or resolving a challenge in the lab.
