Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol, working on a hybrid basis with a leading aerospace customer. You will be involved in producing 3D models and 2D technical drawings, contributing to the design of complex mechanical systems used in aerospace and potentially space applications.

Key Responsibilities

1. Produce and update 3D models and 2D drawings
2. Use CATIA V5 or CATIA V6 (3DEXPERIENCE) for mechanical design work
3. Work within Windchill PLM to manage documentation and configurations
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems and manufacturing
5. Ensure designs meet industry and internal quality standards

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field – mandatory
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in mechanical design – mandatory
3. Proficient in CATIA V6 (3DEXPERIENCE) – mandatory
4. Experience with Windchill PLM – mandatory
5. Background in Aerospace or Automotive engineering – mandatory
6. Experience in the Space sector is a plus
7. Must be eligible for BPSS clearance
