Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the UK is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to manage design projects from concept through to manufacture. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years' experience designing metal fabricated products and proficiency in Solidworks and AutoCAD. A degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable. The role requires UK security clearance, and no sponsorship is available.

Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen with a client of ours who are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of design projects from concept through to manufacture – working with major industry clients.

What you’ll need

• At least 5 years' experience designing metal fabricated, steel or similar products for heavy industrial engineering projects
• Experience using Solidworks and AutoCAD
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) is desirable
• Due to client projects, the ideal candidate will need to be a British national and eligible for UK security clearance with no sponsorship on offer
• Any experience using FEA software is desirable
