Job summary

Ross-Shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Asset Management division on a permanent basis to support projects across the UK. You will work within our in-house multidisciplinary design team on all stages from scoping and FEED to construction support, ensuring solutions meet client specifications and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Mechanical design experience in municipal water/wastewater treatment desirable.
  • Experience working in a multidiscipline design team.
  • Experience across all design stages from optioneering/FEED to construction support and As-Built.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical design aspects from inception to implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications and current standards.
  • Participate in project reviews and safety studies (HAZOP).
  • Consider health, safety, quality and environmental matters in projects.
  • Liaise with stakeholders for projects.
  • Collaborate with equipment suppliers to develop design solutions.

What Are We Looking For?

Our Asset Management business platform is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the division on a permanent basis and support on projects across the UK. You will work as part of our in-house, multidisciplinary design team and take on a key role in all aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:
  • Developing mechanical design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.
  • Ensuring compliance with Client specification and current regulatory and industry standards.
  • Participating in project review meetings, safety studies (HAZOP), etc.
  • Consideration of project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.
  • Liaising with all key stakeholders for the projects.
  • Liaising with equipment suppliers to develop design solutions
What Do You Need?
  • Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Mechanical design engineering experience within municipal water/wastewater treatment is highly desirable.
  • Experience of working in a multidiscipline design team.
  • Experience of working at all design stages, from optioneering/FEED through to construction support and As-Built is highly desirable.
  • Possess the ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.
  • Full UK Driving Licence
