A leading infrastructure services firm in Rochdale seeks an HVAC Mechanical Designer to oversee HVAC design processes from concept to detailed design. The role includes developing designs suitable for procurement, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting junior engineers. This role is based at BES, in our Rochdale offices. BES works with world‑leading organisations in the pharmaceutical, life science and healthcare sectors to create cutting‑edge cleanrooms, laboratories and other sophisticated environments. Committed to innovation and excellence in all we do, our specialist services encompass consultancy, design, construction, commissioning and validation.
What will you be doing?
Reporting to a Design Lead you will have responsibility for the following mechanical / HVAC design processes from concept through to detailed design including involvement in commissioning support as required.
A major aspect of your work would be the development of detailed designs suitable for procurement and installation including sizing, selection, space planning and routing for all necessary plant, equipment and distribution networks to meet the needs of both human comfort and process specific requirements. This would be with the support of CAD draughtsman.

You would be expected to be an integral part of a multi‑service design and installation team and be proactive in ensuring effective communication and production of good quality information. As part of this team, you will also play a role in the development of junior project and design engineers.
