Overview

Engineering @365 is working with an established engineering firm specialising in the design and manufacture of high-performance air handling and environmental control systems. Their equipment is used across a range of demanding industrial and technical sectors, delivering precision‑engineered solutions for complex humidity and temperature management challenges.

About the role

This is a hands‑on design position that covers the full lifecycle of engineered systems, from initial concept through to production and commissioning. You will take ownership of varied projects, ensuring every system is designed for optimum performance, reliability and manufacturability. The role combines technical design, system integration and practical involvement throughout project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs for custom‑built environmental and airflow systems using modern CAD platforms.
  • Carry out system performance checks, including airflow and heat‑transfer calculations, to validate design intent.
  • Select suitable mechanical and electrical components to achieve required system functionality and efficiency.
  • Create detailed production drawings, assembly diagrams and supporting documentation for manufacturing.
  • Assist with technical documentation and compliance activities relating to safety and performance standards.
  • Support on‑site installation and commissioning activities where required (predominantly UK‑based, with occasional overseas opportunities).
What we’re looking for
  • Background and experience designing HVAC systems, ducting, building services etc.
  • Proficient with SolidWorks or Inventor.
  • Flexibility to travel to site when required, nationwide with potential for international travel.
