Job summary

RSE is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Chemical Dosing and Wastewater Solutions team in the UK. You will join our in-house multidisciplinary design team and take a lead role in projects from scoping and detail design through to implementation, ensuring compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Mechanical design experience in municipal water/wastewater is desirable.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Experience across all design stages, from optioneering/FEED through to construction support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop mechanical design aspects from inception to implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with client specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in project reviews and safety studies (HAZOP).
  • Consider health, safety, quality and environmental factors.
  • Liaise with stakeholders for the projects.
  • Liaise with equipment suppliers to develop design solutions.

What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued sustainable growth, our Chemical Dosing and Wastewater Solutions team is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join us on a permanent basis, and work as part of our in-house, multidisciplinary design team. You will work as part of our in-house, multidisciplinary design team and take on a key role in all aspects of projects from scoping and detailed design right through to implementation, ensuring compliance with Client Specifications and current regulatory standards.


Some Of Your Key Duties Include


  • Developing mechanical design aspects of projects from inception to implementation.

  • Ensuring compliance with Client specification and current regulatory and industry standards.

  • Participating in project review meetings, safety studies (HAZOP), etc.

  • Consideration of project health and safety, quality, and environmental matters.

  • Liaising with all key stakeholders for the projects.

  • Liaising with equipment suppliers to develop design solutions.


What Do You Need?


  • Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

  • Mechanical design engineering experience within municipal water/wastewater treatment is highly desirable.

  • Experience of working in a multidiscipline design team.

  • Experience of working at all design stages, from optioneering/FEED through to construction support and As-Built is highly desirable.

  • Possess the ability to work on multiple projects consecutively.

  • Full UK Driving Licence
