The role involves designing industrial burners and associated heating equipment using SolidWorks. Responsibilities include project oversight, documentation creation, and collaboration with the shop floor. Ideal candidates have proven engineering experience and strong communication skills. Competitive salary of GBP35,000 to GBP50,000 based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Working in our offices at our Rochdale headquarters.
  • Part of a team of mechanical engineers responsible for a host of ongoing projects.
  • Daily use of SolidWorks, ePDM and simulation tools.
  • Direct contact with the shop floor to monitor ongoing job progress.
  • Site visits as required for pre-installation checks.
  • Creation of documentation.

Overview

Mechanical Design Engineer Rochdale, Greater Manchester Full Time GBP35,000 to GBP50,000 dependant on experience

A world–class, market leader in the manufacture of automatic combustion equipment is seeking a mechanical design engineer to join its rapidly expanding firm, which exports to over 40 countries worldwide and serves a broad range of blue–chip customers.

You will join a team of mechanical design engineers who are responsible for the design of a range of industrial burners, associated heating equipment and full energy centres.

Your role will heavily involve the use of SolidWorks for both design and simulation, as well as ensuring that all paperwork, such as manuals and parts lists, is available and accurate.

Whilst we do have a standard range of burners, we are very much a bespoke manufacturer, and this role will give you the opportunity to oversee projects of varying detail and complexity.
