Overview

We are delighted to be supporting our client in the Milton Keynes area who is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with design and development manager to translate visions to life. Use engineering principles and innovative thinking to generate new mechanical solutions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to prototype, test and validate new product designs. Work to understand project requirements and to determine the viability of the study.
• Participate in design reviews, meetings, and customer presentations to gather feedback and incorporate changes.
• Make detailed designs using SolidWorks.
• Track project progress, identify risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Assist with project documentation including design files, specifications and reports.
• You will be creating, testing and provide profitable solution specifications for manufacturing, including 3D CAD models, fully dimensioned engineering drawings to B8888/ISO standards, assembly drawings, BOMs, test data and build test and evaluation of prototype.
