MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer based in Derry/Londonderry. Our client is a cutting-edge manufacturing company specialising in bespoke machine build, automation, robotics, and software solutions for a global client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new machinery and automation concepts from initial design to final implementation.
  • Produce detailed CAD models and technical drawings (SolidWorks), ensuring precision through effective geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and project managers to ensure alignment with project briefs and milestones.
  • Generate BOMs and technical documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to design reviews, stand-up meetings, and ongoing project evaluations.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in a design role
  • Strong CAD proficiency - SolidWorks experience essential.
