Job summary

Xpertis Talent is recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our established engineering team in Cardiff. You will design mechanical components and assemblies, create 3D models, and produce detailed drawings to support production.

You will work closely with manufacturing and engineering colleagues, contribute to design reviews, testing, and continuous improvement activities, and apply practical, hands-on problem solving to deliver robust solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in a mechanical design engineering role.
• Strong 3D CAD skills, ideally SolidWorks.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and engineering principles.
• A practical, hands-on approach to design and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical components, assemblies and systems using 3D CAD.
• Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
• Develop and modify existing designs based on customer and production requirements.
• Work closely with manufacturing, engineering and other departments.
