Join our BRUSH Power Generation team

The BRUSH Power Generation division delivers solutions that are engineered to perform, built to last, and supported for the entire lifecycle. Customers rely on our solutions to meet the most challenging requirements for power generation, grid stabilization, and decarbonization through electrification.

Be involved in exciting and original projects

You will design and produce engineering drawings for electric machinery such as generators, synchronous condensers (SC), and motors, adhering to planned deadlines and quality standards, while supporting other mechanical designers.

As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engineering drawings to operations and customers, acting as the subject matter expert for your area of design.
  • Designing all components of generators, synchronous condensers, and motors.
  • Supporting operations with the production of designed components.
  • Proficiently using 3D CAD Inventor software for design tasks.
  • Guiding design draughtsmen and signing off on engineering drawings.
  • Working towards KPIs and objectives set by the Design Office Lead.

To be successful, you will need:

  • An Engineering HNC or HND; an engineering degree is desirable.
  • Good experience with 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
  • The ability to design generators, motors, and SCs, create customer and manufacturing drawings in AutoCAD, and populate BOMs.
  • IT literacy and proficiency with MS Office packages.
  • Experience with technical international standards.
  • Experience designing for Hazardous Areas (advantageous).
  • A proven ability to complete projects and achieve results in ambiguous environments.
  • Fluency in English and eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
