Job summary

Job description

Carbon60 is currently seeking to hire a skilled Mechanical Craftsperson to support maintenance operations across the Birmingham location. This role is responsible for completing planned preventative maintenance, testing, and reactive repairs in accordance with HTM guidance, statutory requirements, and Company's KPIs.

ROLE: Mechanical Craftsperson

PAY RATE: £14.36 - £16.92 per hour

CONTRACT TYPE: Contract (24 November 2025 - 29 March 2026)

LOCATION: Birmingham, B15

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver PPMs, testing and reactive maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on AHUs, FCUs, boilers, calorifiers and plantroom equipment.
  • Work independently using technical drawings and specifications.
  • Accurately update records and task details using CAFM systems (Maximo).
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, CDM standards and HTM requirements.
  • Support Estates teams and NHS Trust stakeholders as needed.
  • Work safely in clinical areas including A&E, ITU, theatres and mortuary environments.
  • Maintain workshops and workspaces to a clean and safe standard.
  • Assist in continuous improvement and efficient operations across the estate.
