A regional healthcare provider in Tees Valley is seeking a Mechanical Craftsman Plumber. Responsibilities include fault finding and calibration on engineering plant and equipment, performing maintenance repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical plumbing knowledge and IT skills. This role involves working in a busy hospital environment with the possibility of emergency repairs and shift duties.
Responsible for fault finding and calibration on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment (low pressure hot and cold water systems and associated equipment and natural gas systems and building management services).
Performs work including activities which are complex and/or non-routine. Undertaking maintenance repairs, minor improvements and capital work across the Trust as directed by management ensuring compliance with trust safety standards and procedures.
We are looking to recruit a self-motivated, IT-literate craftsperson with excellent Mechanical Plumbing and Engineering knowledge to join the estates team. The post holder will be responsible for fault finding on a wide range of engineering plant and equipment. The day-to-day duties will include planned preventative maintenance, general repairs, Energy Centre checks and responding to high-priority emergencies to ensure continuity of service in a vibrant busy hospital.
