Job Title: Mechanical Craft Team Member

Department: Cranes & Lifting

Location: Llanwern (NP19)

Salary: 33527 + Benefits

We are currently looking for a Mechanical Craft Team Member to join our Cranes & Lifting Department at our Llanwern site. This is a practical hands‑on role where you'll play a vital part in keeping our essential lifting equipment safe, reliable and fully operational. You'll be part of a tight‑knit team working in a busy and safety‑focused environment that supports steel production across the UK.

What you will do

As a Mechanical Craft Team Member you'll take responsibility for carrying out maintenance and repairs across a range of lifting equipment. Your day‑to‑day work will support the safe and efficient running of the plant and you'll contribute your knowledge as a skilled craftsperson within a high‑performing team.

What you will need
  • A time‑served Mechanical apprenticeship
  • Experience working on lifting equipment and familiarity with PUWER / LOLER regulations
  • The ability to work at height and in a safety‑critical environment
  • Clear communication skills and a willingness to lead and support others
  • Basic IT skills and experience managing maintenance activity
It would be great if you also have:
  • Familiarity with SAP or similar systems
  • Experience with EOT crane maintenance
  • A track record of continuous improvement
