Mechanical Contract Manager (Housing)

Location: Covering sites in Cambridgeshire & Suffolk

Salary: £60,000 - £65,000

A Mechanical, Electrical, Heating and Plumbing Contractor are looking to grow their team with a Mechanical Contract Manager for their Housing division, the position will be managing multiple sites for low rise residential developments for National Housing Developers.

As the Mechanical Contract Manager, you will lead and oversee multiple projects simultaneously ensuring that site teams are complying to the company's best interests and that regionally the schemes are being planned and completed according to agreed scope of works, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure quality and high standards of installations are consistent across all projects.
  • Organise and plan labour resources to meet programme.
  • Provide monthly labour forecasts for all projects.
  • Maintain and review the project periodic progress reports.
  • Monitor the Gas compliance across all projects.
  • Ensure a smooth mechanical handover to the client and provide aftercare support.
  • Work closely and assist the Customer Care Manager in delivering the best service possible to the homeowner/residents.
  • Form close working relationships with the client's representatives and their teams.
  • Review budgets and P&L.
Qualifications
  • Time Served Apprentice or relevant Mechanical qualifications.
  • SMSTS card.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing mechanical projects within the housing sector.
  • Overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of heating & plumbing systems, construction practices and industry standards.
  • Effective project management skills, including planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Proficient in budgeting, cost control and financial analysis.
  • Good people management and motivational skills to achieve project goals.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
