About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to lead one of the UK's leading M&E Subcontractors in the delivery of mechanical works. This is a pivotal site-based role overseeing all mechanical installation activities, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all on-site mechanical construction activities, including HVAC, plumbing, BMS, specialist gases, and process systems.
• Coordinate mechanical subcontractors, ensuring work aligns with design specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.
• Liaise closely with the Project Manager, Design Team, and Client representatives to ensure seamless integration across disciplines.
• Oversee quality control, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Monitor progress, manage site documentation, and report regularly on key metrics.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards in accordance with company and statutory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Construction Manager or Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Strong technical understanding of building services and mechanical systems.
• Demonstrable experience coordinating subcontractors and managing fast-paced site environments.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services).
• SMSTS, CSCS, and first aid certification desirable.
