A growing engineering firm in the UK is seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning & Installation Engineer. This position involves installing and commissioning proprietary systems, requiring regular travel. Ideal candidates should have experience in large machinery projects and strong electro-mechanical technical skills. Travel: UK-wide, approx. 25% of your time
Salary: Up to £58,000 + travel expenses + company vehicle
We're seeking an experienced Mechanical Commissioning & installation engineer ready for a new challenge, and you MUST HAVE previous experience of install and commissioning is a must.
This is completely new technology so sometimes the systems and installations won't go to plan and there is NO manual so you will need to figure out the issue and then write the manual and become an expert.
This role involves regular travel across the UK, with assignments ranging from 2 days to 3 weeks, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet business demands.
You’ll support the build, installation, testing, commissioning, and servicing of a proprietary product range at client sites. You’ll also provide technical support, troubleshooting guidance, and training to customers and internal personnel. Additionally, you’ll contribute to the development of manuals, training materials, and support R&D and sales in testing new waste streams and designing innovative solutions.
