Job summary

The Right Hire Recruitment Ltd in Trafford Park is seeking a Semi-Skilled Fitter to join a busy manufacturing team. The role involves fitting, assembly and mechanical work using hand tools and workshop equipment, with a two-shift system and flexibility to work three shifts when required.

Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments is valued, as is a practical and mechanical mindset and the ability to learn quickly. Based in Trafford Park with hands-on engineering exposure.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out fitting, assembly and mechanical work.

• Stripping down, inspecting and reassembling components.
• Following engineering drawings, instructions and specifications.
• Checking completed work to ensure it meets quality standards.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
• Working as part of a busy manufacturing team.

Semi-Skilled Fitter

Location: Trafford Park

Salary: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour, depending on experience

Shift: 2-shift system, with flexibility to work 3 shifts when required

We are currently looking for a Semi-Skilled Fitter to join our busy manufacturing team based in Trafford Park.

This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who has gained practical experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment and is confident using a range of hand tools and workshop equipment.

You don't necessarily need to be a fully qualified fitter. We are looking for someone with a good mechanical aptitude, practical skills and a willingness to learn.

The Role

• Carrying out fitting, assembly and mechanical work
• Using a range of hand and workshop tools

• Using presses and other workshop machinery

Experience in areas such as machine operating, mechanical assembly, engineering production, fitting or similar manufacturing environments would be highly relevant.

Food manufacturing experience is not suitable for this role, as we are looking for candidates with hands‑on experience working with machinery, components or engineering/manufacturing processes.

Shift Pattern

The role operates on a 2-shift system, however candidates must be flexible and willing to work a 3-shift pattern when required.
