Job Description:

Are you an experienced self-employed M&E Engineer looking for your next contract?

If so, we may have a role suited to you, as we are recruiting a contract M&E Engineer to join our facilities management team.

You will be traveling to sites for planned maintenance (PPM) such as water hygiene checks and emergency lighting monthly flash testing. Reactive M&E work, including plumbing, electrical tasks, fault-finding on BMS and HVAC systems, is also a key aspect of the role.

You will work autonomously, responsible for delivering planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs. Ideally, you will have the ability to carry out a range of other mechanical tasks as well.

To be successful, you will have:

Essential:

• C&G 2382/BS 7671: 18th edition
• F-Gas qualification (C&G 2079)
• NVQ or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical trade
• Full valid UK driver’s license
• FM or maintenance experience
• Strong communication skills and work ethic
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Knowledge of health & safety standards
• Comfortable using phone, tablet in daily tasks

Desirable:

• HVAC knowledge
• CSCS/ECS site safety card
• IOSH working safely qualification or equivalent
• Heating systems experience
• C&G 2391 Electrical inspection and testing
• PLC and controls knowledge
• HWSS/Unvented hot water systems
• Legionella awareness (L8)
• Emergency lighting knowledge (BS 5266)
• Water regulation training
• Access equipment training (IPAF, ladders, PASMA)
• Basic generator knowledge
• Basic drainage experience
