Job Description:

Are you an experienced self-employed M&E Engineer looking for your next contract?

If so, we may have a role suited to you as we are recruiting a contract M&E Engineer to join our facilities management team.

You will be travelling to sites for planned maintenance (PPM) such as water hygiene checks and emergency lighting monthly flash testing. Reactive M&E tasks may include plumbing, electrical work, fault-finding on BMS and HVAC systems, among others.

You will work autonomously, responsible for delivering planned and preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs. Confidence in performing various mechanical tasks is essential.

To be successful, you will have:

Essential:

  • C&G 2382/BS 7671: 18th edition
  • F-Gas qualification (C&G 2079)
  • NVQ or equivalent in a mechanical or electrical trade
  • Full Valid UK driver’s license
  • FM or Maintenance experience
  • Strong communication skills and work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and develop
  • Knowledge of health & safety
  • Comfortable using phone and tablet daily

Desirable:

  • HVAC knowledge
  • CSCS/ECS site safety card
  • IOSH working safely qualification or equivalent
  • Heating systems experience
  • C&G 2391 Electrical inspection and testing
  • PLC and controls knowledge
  • HWSS/Unvented hot water systems
  • L8 (Legionella awareness)
  • Emergency lighting (BS 5266)
  • Water regulation training
  • Access equipment training (IPAF, ladders, PASMA)
  • Basic generator knowledge
  • Basic drainage experience
