Job Summary

We are currently hiring a highly skilled and experienced Car Mechanic/Vehicle Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, with specific expertise in clutch systems, timing belts/chains, engine diagnostics, and general drivetrain components. A strong focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults or issues
  • Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine diagnostics, brake repairs, transmission and suspension work
  • Use hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and servicing
  • Document all work carried out accurately and in accordance with company procedures
  • Test vehicles post-repair to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Communicate effectively with team members regarding repair progress and findings
  • Maintain clear communication with service advisors regarding work performed.
Experience
  • Proven mechanical knowledge with previous experience as a Vehicle Technician/Mechanic
  • Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for vehicle repairs
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and vehicle electronic systems is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance or similar are preferred but not essential
