Overview

Experienced Plant Mechanic - South Lanarkshire
Location: South Lanarkshire
Job Type: Full-time | Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Working from their Carnwath depot, with occasional travel to sites, you'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for the servicing, repair, and inspection of a wide range of plant and vehicles. This includes:

  • Telehandlers
  • MEWPs
  • Mobile cranes
  • Trombone and standard lorry trailers
  • Various other construction machinery

You'll be ensuring all equipment is maintained in line with manufacturer requirements, keeping our operations running safely and smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular servicing, repairs, and inspections
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Read diagnostic codes and perform timing belt replacements
  • Order parts and materials as required
  • Work both in the workshop and on-site when needed
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience with plant and construction equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Valid UK driver's licence
  • Experience with trailers and electrics/hydraulics is an advantage
