Job description
Vehicle Technician
£37,000 per annum
Newcastle Upon Tyne

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a Level 3 Vehicle Technician who enjoys working with a broad mix of makes and models and wants to join a workshop where quality matters. If you’re searching for a role where your skills are recognised, your development is supported, and your working week is stable and structured this could be for you.

About the Role

You’ll be preparing, servicing, repairing, prep and maintaining vehicles that pass through a busy used‑car operation. Your days will be varied: a minute diagnosing electrical issues with diagnostic software, the next road‑testing a vehicle after repairs, or supporting another technician with a tricky job. MOT testing experience is a bonus but not essential. What is essential is confidence in your technical ability, steady workmanship, and a professional approach to documentation, safety standards, and workshop processes.

About the Client

Our client is a well established used‑car franchise business that has grown steadily over the past two decades. Known for its straightforward, customer friendly buying experience, the company has invested heavily in modern workshops and reconditioning facilities. They’re part of a wider European automotive group, yet still operate with a family oriented culture, supportive teams, approachable management, and a real focus on doing things properly rather than cutting corners. Career development, training, and long‑term progression are all part of their offer.
