A leading technology firm in Manchester is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to manage the end-to-end mechanical development of advanced RF products. Responsibilities include creating 3D CAD models, performing thermal and structural analysis, and collaborating with various engineering teams. The mechanical design engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end mechanical development of advanced high-frequency RF products. They will create detailed 3D CAD models, select appropriate materials and manufacturing methods and perform thermal and structural analysis to ensure all designs meet stringent performance, reliability, and environmental requirements.
The mechanical design engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams throughout the entire product lifecycle. This includes working with RF, electronics, process, systems and manufacturing engineers during concept development, prototype builds, testing, and validation. Must be a highly motivated individual able to interface effectively with internal & external customers.
