Job Title: Floor Manager & Production Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: Potentially until June 2026

Part Time: Saturdays only

Location: Onsite in Rugby

Responsibilities:

  • Create high quality and engaging TV.
  • Organise the studio.
  • Work closely with the Director, Producer and Presenter to ensure the best possible output.
  • Stock management and picking stock for the shows.
  • Stock room organisation.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure we have product for the show.
  • Ensure that product displays look professional and to a high standard at all times.
  • Flooring up to 8 hours of live TV every day on Jewellery Maker, Sewing Street and Hobby Maker.
  • Collaborate with Directors, Producers and Presenting team in a high‑pressured environment.
  • Adapt and solve problems, maintain excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Manage and prioritise workload, use initiative, step in when necessary.
  • Develop ideas and have a strong creative vision.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in studio work preferable.
  • Proficiency using Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Team player with strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, verbal).
  • Self‑motivated with high level of initiative and sense of urgency.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
  • Strong social skills and confidence in approaching and working closely with Presenters and Guests.
  • Strong creative vision.
  • Proven ability to learn new skills and passion for producing high quality output.
  • High‑pressured environment experience.

  • Hybrid working – 3 days in the office (but role based in Birmingham – shift details unclear).
  • Working schedule: 7 day fortnight (Week 1 – Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday; Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday).
  • 28 paid hours per week, 8 paid hours per day.
  • Salary: £19,947 per annum.
