Job summary

Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Trust is seeking an experienced senior nurse / ODP leader to provide professional and operational leadership for Theatre Services at University Hospital Lewisham. This leadership role will promote a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across all theatre areas, and will lead service transformation to improve efficiency, productivity and patient outcomes.

• Promote safety, quality and continuous improvement across theatre areas.
• Lead service transformation programmes to improve efficiency, productivity and patient outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with national standards, Trust policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with Surgical, Anaesthetic, Recovery and Day Surgery teams to deliver perioperative care.
• Support the effective management of theatre capacity, utilisation and patient flow.
• Lead workforce planning, recruitment, retention and staff development initiatives.
• Oversee clinical governance, incident management, quality assurance and risk management processes.
• Champion evidence-based practice and quality improvement methodologies.
• Widen Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) through recruitment and leadership development.

Job description

Provide professional and operational leadership for Theatre Services at University Hospital Lewisham.
