Job summary

Joma Jewellery Ltd is seeking a Midweight CAD Designer to create jewellery and accessories using Matrix Gold, progressing concepts from initial ideas through to delivery. You will work with Senior Designers to ensure accuracy, quality and on-time production while collaborating with the wider Product Design team.

Based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, the role is a hybrid arrangement—three days in the office and two at home—with potential increases during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Matrix Gold CAD software.
• Design qualification in jewellery, fashion, CAD or product design.
• 1+ years experience in a Jewellery/CAD role.
• Experience from ideation to creation in jewellery product design.
• Strong visual communication and proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.
• High accuracy in written communication and numeracy.
• Experience in fast-paced, confidential environments.
• Ability to work proactively in a team and alone.
• Positive, can-do attitude and strong teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models for jewellery and accessories using Matrix Gold.
• Collaborate with Buying to align with pricing and targets.
• Provide technical specs and liaise with factories for quality and delivery.
• Ensure end-to-end delivery of jewellery and accessories.
• Check samples against specs and modify with sign-off from Creative Director and Senior Designers.
• Use Adobe programs to produce final artworks, visuals and contact sheets.
• Support production with knowledge of jewellery manufacturing processes.
• Monitor competitors to guide the design process.
• Maintain brand development strategies and deliver on-time projects.
• Drive new personalisation ideas and communicate with teams for implementation.
• Present concepts to senior team and track development progress.
• Maintain critical project paths at a high standard.
