Job summary

A tutoring organization in the UK is seeking passionate tutors to provide one-to-one Maths tuition to students aged 5-16. This flexible role allows for both part-time and full-time hours until the end of the academic year. Ideal candidates are qualified teachers or experienced tutors with strong interpersonal skills, and must have the right to work in the UK. Competitive pay offered based on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications

  • Ideally a qualified teacher, but strong applicants with tutoring or mentoring experience are welcome.
  • Experience working with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is highly valued.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with learners.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver individualised Maths sessions.
  • Support learners with a wide range of abilities and needs.
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to each student's learning plan.
  • Keep accurate records of attendance and student progress.
  • Work closely with schools, families, and other professionals.

Pay: Up to Classroom Teacher Pay Scale (for qualified teachers)

We're looking for caring and committed tutors to deliver one-to-one Maths tuition to students aged 5-16, some of whom have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs or other learning difficulties.

This is a highly rewarding role, providing support to students outside of traditional school settings. You\'ll play a key part in helping them re-engage with education, build confidence, and reach their learning goals.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver individualised Maths sessions (other subjects also considered)
  • Support learners with a wide range of abilities and needs
  • Plan engaging lessons tailored to each student\'s learning plan
  • Keep accurate records of attendance and student progress
  • Work closely with schools, families, and other professionals to support consistent and effective learning
About You
  • Ideally a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent), but strong applicants with tutoring or mentoring experience are also welcome
  • Experience working with SEND is highly valued
  • Flexible, patient, and empathetic, with the ability to build strong, positive relationships with learners
  • Access to a car is advantageous unless you\'re based locally
  • You must have the right to work in the UK (we are unable to provide sponsorship)

Start: January 2026

Duration: Until the end of the academic year (with potential for extension)

Hours: Flexible - both part-time and full-time roles available

Pay: Up to Classroom Teacher Pay Scale (dependent on qualifications and experience)
